Another sunny Friday where I met up with C after his work in Downtown. We were wandering up Robson as usual, so I can do a bit of window shopping. It is inevitable to pass by the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory with its display of giant candy caramel apples! It also doesn’t help that they lure you in with chocolate samples!
I have always liked Caramel Candy Apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. However, I never get it because I cannot finish the giant apple all to myself. Once in a blue moon, C would get it for me early on in our relationship as treat and share it with me. As time passes by, he would dare to decline my request for one for “health” reason. Simply put, he doesn’t want me to get too fat… (C: Q had been craving candied apples for a veeeeeery long time. I usually say no, but I relented this time…).
But will you look at all those delicious looking sweet sweet apples? That Friday, C miraculously offered to shared one together! YAY! SO HAPPY! Now another dilemma, WHICH ONE DO I PICK?
Price is also a deciding factor…we have decided to spend less in general…our credit card bills revealed that we spent a lot of money stuffing our faces! (C: We don’t actually buy much stuff! Most of our money goes to eating!)
It was quite busy on that sunny Friday evening. Tourists looking for souvenirs and people buying themselves some cold treats of delicious ice cream.
Since chocolate store can’t join the retail world of Back to School stuff, the next big thing is Halloween. I wonder if ppl actually buy and eat the chocolate skeleton. What do they do with the leftover stock?
I decided on a chocolate covered almond candy apple. When I was younger, I didn’t know Rocky Mountain can cut up the apple into slices for customers! My parents’ fear of gnawing at this giant apple all by myself also stopped them from letting me have one to try. My poor deprived childhood… (C: I actually never had one when I was a kid!)
A SLICE OF HEAVEN! Definitely could taste the chocolate is of high quality. The chocolate, caramel, apple and nuts are indeed a perfect combination. The sour, sweet and crunch were oh so satisfying! A treat like that definitely made my day. I recommend for girls, when go on shopping with friends on robson, share this delicious treat! It is like extra bonding experience on top of shopping together! (C: Candy apples are pretty good I guess. Q reaaaally loves them but they’re not crazy special or anything. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then Rocky Mountain Chocolate is a fantastic place to stop by. You’re not going to find a wide variety of candy apple flavours anywhere else!)
